About the Role
Our client, a well-established and reputable hotel in Hurlingham, Nairobi, is looking to hire a Housekeeper to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all guest and public areas. The ideal candidate is meticulous, proactive and passionate about creating a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, corridors, and common areas
- Report maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and amenities
- Handle laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and folding linen
- Adhere to hotel health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Provide professional and courteous service to guests
- Work closely with the front office and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum KCSE certificate
- At least 2 years of experience in housekeeping in a busy hotel or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
- High level of attention to detail and cleanliness
- Physically fit and able to work on foot for long periods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Honest, reliable, and able to work under minimal supervision
- Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
