About the Role

Our client, a well-established and reputable hotel in Hurlingham, Nairobi, is looking to hire a Housekeeper to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all guest and public areas. The ideal candidate is meticulous, proactive and passionate about creating a clean and welcoming environment for guests.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, corridors, and common areas
  2. Report maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution
  3. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and amenities
  4. Handle laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and folding linen
  5. Adhere to hotel health, safety, and hygiene standards
  6. Provide professional and courteous service to guests
  7. Work closely with the front office and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations


Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Minimum KCSE certificate
  2. At least 2 years of experience in housekeeping in a busy hotel or hospitality environment
  3. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
  4. High level of attention to detail and cleanliness
  5. Physically fit and able to work on foot for long periods
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Honest, reliable, and able to work under minimal supervision
  8. Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
